The 3D breast measurement results are equivalent to those of the manual measurement results. The Scan3D MB2019 measuring device is designed to measure the shape and size of the breast to meet following goals: low cost, fast measurement speed, high accuracy, and convenience. This device operates based on using the structured light method, white light source (creating from 3 combined R-G-B LED sources), which is not harmful to human eyes and skin, with a measurement accuracy of ☐.4 mm, and measuring-scanning range 800 ×1000 × 600mm (length × width × depth). This article presents the results of the study on designing and manufacturing the Scan3D MB2019 female breast measurement system. In Vietnam, the research and development of 3D measuring devices to serve the design and manufacture of clothing is still new and limited. To determine thoracic dimensions, designers use manual measurement with a ruler or 3D measurement with measuring devices. Female breast size is an essential parameter to the designing, production, and selection of bra.
